Rolando Design is an identity practice founded on the belief that a well-designed system
makes an organization legible to itself, and to the world.
makes an organization legible to itself, and to the world.
Arturo Estrada studied architecture before graphic design. He founded Rolando Design after a decade
of work for institutions, cultural organizations, and companies in Mexico, Spain, France, and Australia. Architecture left a specific habit: he builds identity as a structure, not a gesture. A mark has to function
on a business card, a building facade, a screen at 16px, and a billboard — in that order of difficulty.
An identity that works disappears into the organization. Nobody notices the design.
They just read the company correctly.
